Alexandra Srnková
Alexandra Srnková (b. 1993) is a Slovak designer and ceramic artist from Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. She studied Marketing in Nitra and at the University of Economics in Katowice, Poland.
For seven years, she worked as a graphic designer at one of Slovakia’s leading advertising agencies. She currently works as a senior graphic designer in the publishing industry, where she focuses primarily on visual storytelling and book design.
Alongside her design practice, she founded her own ceramic studio, where she creates both functional and artistic ceramic objects while also leading ceramic workshops. Her work is rooted in close observation of nature and the quiet, often overlooked details found in clay, stones, and natural materials. She works with porcelain, slip casting, and hand-built clay, exploring the relationship between material, memory, and landscape.

During my residency, I hope to slow down, reconnect with myself, and find a sense of grounding through immersion in nature. I am interested in collecting local natural materials and clay from the surrounding landscape and incorporating them into new ceramic works that respond to the specific place and its natural rhythms.
