Daniela Krajčová

Daniela Krajčová (born 1983) is a visual artist who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in 2008 with a degree in Intermedia. She also completed a Master’s degree in Animation at the Academy of Performing Arts in 2010. In recent years, she has explored themes of motherhood and the role of women in the home through drawing, painting, embroidery, and the use of recycled textiles. In 2020, she was awarded the Oskar Čepán Award.

During my residency, I took short walks in the surrounding area with my children and worked on small embroidery projects inspired by traditional Šumiac embroidery.
