Open Call – EKAiR Residency 2026

EKAiR invites artists from Czechia, Hungary, and Poland to apply for a 1‑2 month residency in Šumiac, central Slovakia, as part of the Visegrad Artist Residency Programme (VARP) funded by the International Visegrad Fund.

Our concept, “re-cre-zident”, merges repetition, recreation, creation, and residency — valuing both productive and unproductive time as essential to the creative process.

Residents will stay in a traditional Slovak wooden cottage, surrounded by nature, with space to focus, rest, and connect with the local community.
